Complexity grows quietly.

As wealth grows, so do the entities, accounts, investments, documents, advisors, decisions, and people involved.

Important information can become scattered across spreadsheets, inboxes, portals, firms, and individual relationships. Each advisor may understand one part of the picture while no one is responsible for keeping the whole picture organized.

Can your current process answer the important questions?

What do we own across every entity and account?

How much liquidity is truly available?

What commitments and cash needs are approaching?

Are our advisors working from the same current information?

Where are we concentrated or exposed?

Could someone step in if a key person became unavailable?

Your advisors can remain your advisors.

FOC helps them work better together—and helps complete the team when needed.

Independent by design

FOC is not tied to a particular investment product, advisory firm, or professional discipline. We use carefully selected technology to organize information and support consolidated reporting, while keeping the family’s interests at the center. When a family already has established reporting technology, FOC can evaluate how that system fits within the broader coordination process.

Keep the relationships that work. Fill the gaps that do not.

Some families come to FOC with a strong wealth-management relationship but limited support in other important areas. Others have several specialists who have never been brought together around one complete picture.

01

Coordinate your existing team

FOC respects the relationships a family already trusts. We help current advisors share relevant information, understand their roles, and collaborate more effectively without requiring the family to start over.

02

Connect the expertise you need

When legal, tax, insurance, accounting, fiduciary, governance, philanthropic, executive compensation and benefits, or other expertise is missing, FOC can help define the need, identify and evaluate prospective professionals, and facilitate an introduction when an appropriate relationship is available. The family retains the choice of whom to engage.

Whether coordinating long-standing relationships or supplementing the advisory team, FOC maintains an independent perspective and focuses on finding the right fit for the family.

The FOC Framework

One organized center.
Eight connected focus areas.

A family’s financial life is interconnected. FOC provides oversight and coordination across eight focus areas, working with the family’s current advisors or independent outside specialists selected and engaged by the family. FOC keeps the people and information connected across the complete framework.

The FOC Framework connecting investment oversight, insurance and risk review, family governance and education, philanthropy and legacy, fiduciary services, accounting and bookkeeping, estate strategy, and tax compliance and advisory.
01Investment Oversight

FOC can work directly with the family or collaborate with its existing investment advisors. We gather information across investment teams, accounts, entities, managers, and custodians; help the family review account performance; consolidate the complete investment picture in one place; and prepare consistent reporting across the portfolio. FOC provides coordination and oversight without replacing the family’s investment managers.

02Insurance & Risk Review

Help define and coordinate a comprehensive review of the family’s wealth, ownership structures, liabilities, estate plans, and existing coverage. FOC can assist the family in identifying an appropriate independent insurance professional to assess property, casualty, umbrella, liability, and life insurance; identify gaps or excess coverage; and recommend changes. When policies need to be revised or placed, the selected professional can help the family identify and work with a qualified broker.

03Family Governance & Education

FOC helps define the family’s governance and education needs, organize relevant information, and coordinate with independent specialists who can support clearer roles, communication, documentation, and financial understanding across generations.

04Philanthropy & Legacy

FOC organizes charitable structures, intentions, commitments, and family values, coordinating with philanthropic, legal, tax, and other specialists as needed to support thoughtful giving and legacy planning.

05Fiduciary Services

FOC maintains information related to trusts, trustees, beneficiaries, responsibilities, and key decisions, coordinating with the family’s current fiduciaries or helping identify appropriate independent fiduciary professionals.

06Accounting & Bookkeeping

FOC coordinates with the family’s existing accountants and bookkeepers—or helps identify appropriate outside professionals—to create greater consistency across entity records and reporting.

07Estate Strategy

FOC maintains visibility into planning documents, ownership structures, key provisions, and responsibilities, coordinating with existing estate counsel or helping the family identify appropriate legal expertise.

08Tax Compliance & Advisory

FOC organizes tax information, entities, deadlines, and planning considerations, then coordinates with the family’s chosen tax professionals or helps identify appropriate outside tax expertise. For executives, FOC can also coordinate consulting around compensation and benefits, including planning for restricted stock, stock options, deferred compensation, liquidity events, and other significant transactions, in collaboration with the executive’s selected tax, legal, and financial professionals.

Independence is how we operate.
Clarity, coordination, and continuity are the result.

01

Independence

Objective oversight without allegiance to a particular investment product, advisory firm, or professional discipline.

02

Clarity

A complete, organized picture of what the family owns, how it is structured, and what requires attention.

03

Coordination

A stronger framework for keeping information, advisors, responsibilities, and decisions aligned.

04

Continuity

Institutional knowledge that remains dependable through personnel changes, life events, and generations.

The Family Office Foundation

More than a report.
A dependable operating foundation.

Technology alone does not create a family office. A durable family office requires organized information, defined responsibilities, disciplined maintenance, and thoughtful human oversight.

FOC establishes a professionally maintained source of truth for the family’s financial world, then keeps it current as circumstances change.

Instead of relying on paper files, disconnected spreadsheets, inboxes, and separate portals, the family has one organized place for its essential records and current financial information.

A thoughtful process built around your family.

You do not need to know which service you need before contacting FOC. We begin by understanding the problem you are trying to solve.

01

Discover

We learn how the family is structured, what is working, where information resides, and which questions remain difficult to answer.

02

Establish

We gather and organize the information needed to create a consolidated Family Office Foundation.

03

Maintain

FOC administers updates, documentation, reporting, and authorized access so the picture remains current and useful.

04

Coordinate & Connect

We bring the relevant people and information together—and help identify and introduce additional expertise when the family’s advisory team has a gap.

Continuity & succession

Peace of mind comes from knowing the whole picture will not disappear with one person.

Centralizing the family's essential information is what makes continuity possible. When records, relationships, and important decisions live in scattered files—or only in someone's head—every transition creates unnecessary risk. FOC turns that knowledge into an organized, maintained framework the family can rely on.

01

Ready for change

Clear records, responsibilities, and access make it easier for a spouse, child, trustee, executor, or advisor to step in when responsibilities change.

02

Knowledge preserved

Important context remains available through retirement, incapacity, death, an advisor change, or a generational handoff.

03

One organized place

Essential information is stored and maintained in one organized place, giving the family and its advisors a reliable starting point during a transition instead of reconstructing the financial picture from paper files, spreadsheets, emails, and memory.

When the whole picture has become harder to see.

  • Wealth is spread across multiple entities, accounts, properties, or investment relationships.
  • Reporting depends heavily on spreadsheets or one key person.
  • Trusted advisors operate from different information.
  • The family has a wealth manager but lacks trusted specialists in one or more important areas.
  • An executive needs coordinated planning around compensation, benefits, stock, options, or a significant transaction.
  • A business sale, inheritance, retirement, death, or other transition is approaching.
  • Investment commitments and liquidity needs are harder to monitor.
  • The family wants organization without building a full in-house family office.
